Informal drawings can get a filing date, but the USPTO will issue an Objection requiring formal replacement drawings before the patent can issue. To avoid delays and Office Actions, every set we deliver is drafted to strict 37 CFR § 1.84 standards — correct line weights, shading, margins, and reference numerals — so you can file once and move on.
Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days for a standard utility or design case. Rush work is available — we routinely deliver same- and next-day drawings when a deadline requires it. Turnaround depends on the number of figures, complexity of views, and whether you're supplying CAD, photos, or sketches.
Yes. We handle Office Action responses frequently. Send us the examiner's objection and the existing figures and we'll redraw, relabel, or clarify the views needed to satisfy the examiner. Fixes are typically faster than starting from scratch because the scope of the required correction is usually narrow.
Both. Design patents require a very different skill set — accurate surface shading, contoured broken/solid lines, and careful scope definition — and we do those in-house every week. We also handle utility, continuation, CIP, PCT, and international design (Hague) applications.
Often yes, with adjustments. USPTO and WIPO/PCT requirements overlap on most points, but EPO and some national offices have distinct rules on sheet size, margins, and greyscale shading.
